Q. Who wrote these questions?
All our test items were written or reviewed by board certified, actively practicing physicians throughout the United States. Some of these people are actually involved in training residents throughout the country.
Q. How do you know what to write on?
On a general note, we use the blueprints published for each examination. The examining bodies (e.g. the FSMB, ACP, etc) have published examination blueprints which we use to guide us in preparing the appropriate questions. Moreover, we constantly communicate with recent test takers to enable us know which topics are getting the attentions of the examiners.
Q. How similar are your questions to the real tests?
We follow rigorous test-setting methods in the development of our test items (similar to the ones followed by the test writers). Because we maintain the expected examination standards, our questions and their respective solutions are comparable to the ones you will see on your tests.
Q. Are your questions original?
All our published questions are 100% original. We respect copyright laws and we make every attempt to steer clear of other published materials. With us, you cannot be at risk of copyright violation or risk a lawsuit.
Q. You have only USMLE Step III Products. When Will Other Steps Be Available?
Materials on the other steps are currently in production and will be published according to the schedule displayed on the home page. Because we take great care in the development of our materials, it takes some extra time to complete the process.
Q. What is the Passfirst Guarantee?
At Passfirst, we are so confident of our products that we guarantee that users of our test materials will pass at their first attempt. For those who have to retake the tests, we will renew their subscription for free.
Q. Why Are Your Products in A CD Format and not Online?
We decided to put our test items in a CD format because users can install our products once and use them for six months. They do not need to be connected to the internet everytime they need to practice our questions. In the future however, we may put our questions online and in mobile (pocket PC) format.
Q. How Do I Activate A Product?
For most of our products, the activation mechanism is installed within the product. Simply follow the online instructions to complete activation. In most cases, an internet connection is required.
Q. How Many Times May I activate a Product?
As many times you want, provided your license has no expired, and you have not exceeded the number of computer systems that you are activating the products on.
Q. I Use A Laptop And A Desktop. Do I Have To Pay For Each Computer?
No. When you purchase a product from Passfirst, you automatically have the license to activate the product on two computer systems simultaneously, and use each license for six months.
Q. How Do I Return A Product?
First, we request that you contact us, preferably through emails (write returns@passfirst.com), telling us further details about the product you would like to return.
Q. Is the Shipping Fee Refundable?
Because the shipping fee was actually paid to an outside party, it may not be refundable.
